Web Team Update - November 2024

Proposal to Board: Gravel Credit for Team Events

A proposal went to the Board for Web changes to support unpaved credit for team events: the RBA would enter each team’s unpaved distance when submitting results. A sidenote (not part of the proposal): no extra time allowance for unpaved distance for non-ACP team events, as that does not jibe with the fixed duration of team events - so no Web changes needed there.

Grand Randonnée Management

The back office now has enhanced features for assigning grand randonnée codes to calendared events and for ensuring that results icons are configured for each code. The web team also receives a notification email when an LRM event is calendared, as a signal to assign a randonnée code.

Other Grand Randonnées

The "Other Grand Randonnées" menu item under the "Long Brevets" website navigation menu has been revamped with a complete listing of all domestic LRM events that have been run. This is now programmatically generated and won't get stale like the previous page.

American Explorer Disputes

We’ve found volunteers to manage the disputes, Gary DelNero and Nick DeHaan. Gary is being set up and oriented now. There is currently a backlog of 26 unresolved disputes.
