1 Meeting minutes and highlights approval

  • Deferred to email

2 RBA Status Changes

  • The RBA from last month renewed his membership and submitted the insurance waiver.

3 RUSA Website

There is a test version of fleche results processing on the staging site.

Upon viewing two different designs for RBA insurance billing (event-based and total account outstanding), the decision was made to go with the total account outstanding design was preferred.

There are 700+ legacy static (html) pages to migrate.  128 (or so) pages are “major” pages, the balance are Board Meeting Highlights, Newsletters, and some as-yet-unexplored award pages, which can be dealt with by some clever scripting.

RM event submission still needs to collect gender and nationality.

There was some discussion about the website navigation menu – not everyone sees the same structure when they look for something.  The Submit Results menu item was well-received.

Some reported challenges in finding the list of SR600 permanents via the website.

4 RUSA Logo

There are now 12 submissions, some finished designs, some conceptual.  There was a question to there being one monolithic RUSA logo, or variations for different contexts.  The consensus is that variations are likely.

5 RUSA Store

Store operation has transitioned to Deb Banks.  She suggests that the store portion of the RUSA website looks antiquated and old, and should be updated.  Third party options such as Shopify were mentioned.

The treasurer noted, that from an accounting standpoint, the store back end is not useful, and suggested that RUSA needs a better store, better data, and better accounting information.

There was discussion on using a commercial third-party solution vs crafting a custom in-house solution.

It was also suggested that a number of items in the store be discontinued.

6 RUSA Facebook Chat List

A member proposed creating a RUSA Facebook group.  The group creator needs to send in an application to use the RUSA logo.  It should also be conveyed that there be a calming presence, with negativity kept to a minimum, and it should also be noted that the group is not an official RUSA group.

7 Confirming Email Votes

7.1 SFR Scheduling a 100k in place of a cancelled ACP 200k

Passed.

8 Providing New Member Contact Info to RBAs

The decision was that for the time being, RBAs would request that information from Spencer; and we will re-evaluate based on the workload.
