ATTENDEES (b=board member): Mike Dayton (b), Lynne Fitzsimmons (b), Rob Hawks (b), Spencer Klaassen (b), Susan Otcenas (b), Bill Beck (b).

  1. RUSA made $4K in May, so the net loss for the year was reduced from $16K to $12K.

  2. As a result of settlement of a legal case in which an RBA was prosecuted for running a brevet that passed through a National Park without a permit, organizers are advised to check if a permit is required before scheduling any brevet through Park lands. Permanent organizers are also advised to check with individual parks to see if permits are required.

  3. The board discussed options to reduce and/or distribute the work load of running the RUSA store. The options included:
    • Using additional volunteers to fulfill orders.
    • Have fewer items.
    • Don't stock jerseys. Just have 3-4 orders per year through a vendor.
    • Let people order medals only at certain times of the year.
