  1. Confirmation of email vote on Participation in ACP SR600 Program

The board decided to not participate directly in the ACP Super Randonnee program and instead inform members of the option of working directly with the ACP to establish and run those routes in the U.S.

  2. American Randonneur

The next issue was running late due to some communication and coordination issues. The board discussed possible ways to correct the problems.

  3. Super Randonnee (SR) Program Update

The board discussed implementing a RUSA version of the ACP Super Randonnee program (similar to the Arrow being a RUSA version of the ACP Fleche). The "tourist mode" of the ACP version appeared to have more issues to work out than the "randonneur mode," for example how to reconcile the low average speed associated with riding only 80 km (or 100 km) in 24 hours with the existing RUSA minimum speed. The board decided to form a committee to draw up details for a possible RUSA Super Randonnee program with requirements similar to the ACP program, but with only the "randonneur" mode. A tourist mode might be implemented later.

  4. Accident Reports

There had been no new accident reports submitted. The board discussed the fact that members often decline to submit an accident report, even when asked.
