  1. Online Membership Renewal System.

The Board received a detailed update from Mr. Kuehn regarding efforts to establish an online membership renewal system. Mr. Kuehn noted that he and Membership Committee Chair Don Hamilton were working toward streamlining membership-related tasks and replacing the current, paper-based system for membership renewals and payments with online web forms and e-payments. After lengthy discussion of the many issues raised by a transition to an online system, Mr. Kuehn observed that progress toward activating the online system would continue, with additional system work and testing on his part, and Don's. The Board expressed its appreciation for the work invested in the project, and noted the significant benefits that would accrue for RUSA officials and members once the system was in place.

  2. PBP Publication.

The Board approved preparation of a special, separate PBP publication by the Newsletter Committee. Committee Chair Mike Dayton addressed the work involved, and the Board discussed the timing and logistics for publication, along with possible content. Mike expressed optimism that a lot of good content was in the works and a number of volunteers were available to contribute, which should result in an excellent publication.

  3. PBP Communications and Planning.

The Board considered whether to make a bulk purchase of French-law compliant reflective vests that could be made available to RUSA members. The Board elected to await receipt and evaluation of sample vests from the Audax Club Parisien. Lois Springsteen expressed her appreciation to Mark Thomas for spearheading an effort to investigate the ACP vests.

  4. Showers Pass Jackets.

Cecil Reniche-Smith updated the Board regarding the Showers Pass jackets offering. 5. Committee Reports.

The Board received committee reports from Mark Thomas, as Brevet Coordinator; Jennifer Wise as administrator of the RUSA Store; Eric Vigoren as Treasurer, and Mike Dayton as Newsletter Committee Chair.
