  1. Issues Pertaining to Paris-Brest-Paris 2011. The Board considered a recent communication to RM member countries from ACP Vice-President Jean-Gaulbert Faburel regarding plans to limit entries for PBP 2011. Board members discussed methods to disseminate information regarding the issue to RUSA's membership, as well as the impact of the information for purposes of determining RUSA's quota of eligible participants.
  2. RUSA Super Randonneur Jersey. The Board considered creation of a RUSA Super Randonneur award, commemorated by the introduction of a unique jersey. The Board ultimately set parameters for, and approved, the lifetime award.
  3. Dart Proposal - R-12 Eligibility. The Board considered a proposal that Dart events be authorized to count toward members' eligibility for the R-12 Award, the notion being that this would enhance interest in Darts, which otherwise are seldom organized. Ultimately, there was no need to modify any rules to authorize recognition of Darts as events that qualified toward the R-12 Award. Rather, publicizing the concept of riding Darts at distances of 200km and above, which already was permissible, was deemed the appropriate step.
  4. Permanent Route Availability for Foreign Riders. The Board approved the opening of Permanent routes to foreign riders who are members of an ACP-affiliated randonneuring club.
  5. Time Adjustments for Mountainous Brevets. The Board discussed whether adjustments should be authorized to accommodate controls located in mountainous terrain. After discussion, no formal rules update was approved at this time, and the matter was assigned to the Rules Committee for further consideration and a final recommendation to the Board.
  6. Wool Shorts. The Board considered whether wool shorts would be a good item to include in the RUSA store's inventory. The idea generally was well-received. Jennifer Wise indicated her intent to follow up on the matter with the current supplier of the club's wool jerseys.
