At a meeting primarily to approve the ACP/RM calendar, these evens were discussed:

  • Michael Aeling (MN) 1000km. The board voted to allow this event.
  • Robert Redmond (Santa Rosa). The board voted to ask Redmond to submit a set of cards from his first brevet next year for review.
  • Shadoan (Davis). The board voted to allow a full series.
  • Peter Dusel (NY) events (replacement RBA). The board confirmed Dusel would be allowed to run a full series.
  • Greg Jones (LA) (replacement RBA). The board confirmed he would be allowed to run a full series.
  • Fleche day-of-week for ACP. The board discussed whether to move the fleche start date away from Thursday. However, several members of the board said they favored consistency in the schedule and the suggestion to move the date away from Thursday was withdrawn.
  • ACP/RM calendar approval. The board discussed a Sept. 1 cut-off date for the RM schedule, versus Oct. 1. Some board members expressed a need to have the dates firmed up so RBAs could schedule other events. The board voted to require Sept. 1 as the date for RM events. Lois Springsteen made a motion to approve the calendar with its current listings, and that was seconded by Jennifer Wise. The vote was unanimous.
