Every so often we receive a letter that reminds us of the things that we hold dear. Sometimes it's family. Sometimes it's cycling. Sometimes it's both.

Hello,
I am getting my dad into riding. His longest ride was 60 miles and 2400 ft of gain until yesterday. He did the San Diego 200k (122 miles with 6500 ft). This one ride had more miles and more elevation gain than all of his previous rides totaled together. I think that is awesome. He is 62 and just had a heart attack in Feb 04, but now he is finding a new life which includes a bicycle. Well, just wanted to say thanks for keeping us all in touch with our true passions. Take care. See attached picture of my Dad and me taken at the 200K in San Diego on 30Jan05.

Sincerely,
