Kevin now programmatically generates the list of US grand randonnées have been organized in the past, together with links to each edition’s results. And event logos.
Drupal Upgrade
Paul Liebermann will be upgrading our version of Drupal plus dependencies. (Thanks, Paul!)
Adding Time Limits to Perm Pages
This is BZ 949. (1) Add time limit row to the perm route details table. (2) Add optionally-displayed column in perm route search results. (3) Remove Time Limits option from Permanents dropdown (already done).
Perm Time Limit Calculations
Since the Board approved (1) making perm time limits the same as RUSA domestic brevets and ACP brevets for distances under 1200 km and (2) following the LRM formula for extra time for routes with lots of climbing for perm routes 1200 km and longer … we will be carrying through with those changes. (At this point, we plan to ask Jake to update his tool and use it as our standard tool.) This involves
- Coordinate with both Jake and Chris Nadovich (for eBrevet) to verify their calculators against our rules. Jake’s tool will need to support
- calculation rules for these ride types: RUSA permanents, RUSA brevets and populaires, ACP brevets, LRM grand randonnées,
- recent rule changes (distances close to 200 and 400; alignment of times across various rule sets).
- Mention the plan to use Jake’s tool to membership via RUSA Google Group to give members a chance for them to offer feedback.
8k600 Support
The Web Team has added features to search for 8k600 events on the RUSA calendar, to flag results for these events (via an icon), and help RBAs and the Brevet Coordinator Committee in setting these up on the calendar. Previously, these were listed on the RUSA home page if RBAs let us know about them, but otherwise were not searchable.
Camino de Santiago
Lois continues on her travels.
Respectfully submitted,
