Ed Boltz passed away in 2019 suffering a heart attack while on his bike.

Ed joined RUSA in 2010 and was active through 2019, accumulating 75,923 lifetime RUSA kms, including these grand randonnées:

• Taste of Carolina 1200 (3)
• Coulee Challenge 1200
• Colorado High Country 1200
• Cracker Swamp 1200
• Shenandoah 1200
• Natchez Trace 1500
• plus Paris-Brest-Paris in 2015

and the Southern Appalachian SR600.
