MINUTES OF A MEETING

OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF

RANDONNEURS USA, INC.

Held July 10, 2019

A special meeting of the RUSA Board of Directors was convened by telephone conference and called to order by the president at 1705 PDT.

The following Directors were in attendance:

• John Lee Ellis

• John Capn Ende

• Nigel Greene

• Lois Springsteen

• Tim Sullivan

Additional Attendees:

• Janice Chernekoff

• Mary Humphrey

Absent Directors:

• Debra Banks

• Dave Thompson

This special meeting was held to discuss strategies for managing the publication expenses of American Randonneur while RUSA has ongoing lawsuit expenses.

Printing and mailing costs can be saved by producing a PDF version of the Fall Issue instead of the normal printed version. Layout will proceed with distribution planned for early September. The Fall Issue of the magazine will be posted online in PDF form and an announcement about this will be provided to membership.

Discussion of the Winter Issue was held. Work will begin in August and a decision about the format of the Winter Issue will be made in early September during the Board’s regular meeting.
