MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING

OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF

RANDONNEURS USA, INC.

Held JANUARY 20, 2018

A special meeting of the RUSA Board of Directors was convened by telephone conference and called to order at 1706 PST by the President. 

The following Directors were in attendance:

• John Lee Ellis

• Nigel Greene

• Jake Kassen

• Lois Springsteen

• Dave Thompson

John Cap’n Ende and Debra Banks were absent, though they expressed their views on the topic before the meeting.  No others were in attendance.

The purpose of the special meeting was to select the recipient of the American Randonneur Award.  The nominees having been considered and discussed, Shab Memarbashi was selected as the recipient for 2017.

ACTION ITEM: The award would be obtained and presented to Shab in a surprise gathering, to be arranged in the near-term.  The write-up of Shab’s award, with photos, would be completed prior to the January 31 deadline for publication in the Spring issue of American Randonneur.

The meeting was adjourned at 1750 PST.
