MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
RANDONNEURS USA, INC.
Held JANUARY 10, 2018
A regularly scheduled meeting of the RUSA Board of Directors was convened by telephone conference and called to order at 1703 PST by the President.
The following Directors were in attendance:
- Debra Banks
- John Lee Ellis
- John Capn Ende
- Nigel Greene
- Jake Kassen
- Lois Springsteen
- Dave Thompson
Officers were elected for 2018 as follows:
- President: John Lee Ellis
- Vice President: Debra Banks
- Treasurer: Dave Thompson
- Secretary: Lois Springsteen
The minutes of the December meeting, which had been circulated prior to this meeting, were voted on following discussion and were approved following a seconded motion.
The Treasurer’s Statement of Financial Position for 2017 was circulated prior to the meeting and will be published in the next issue of American Randonneur. The Treasurer reported that sales taxes were filed for 2017 in California and will be paid as required. The Treasurer also reported that the sales for the group order for our wool jerseys was going well.
The President made some brief announcements on upcoming deadlines, ongoing projects and member requests for perm rules clarifications.
Discussion was had about the 20th Anniversary Jersey, medals and rides scheduled for the celebration which will take place between August 13– 19, 2018. A motion was made to accept a preliminary design and ask the designer to work with the vendor to finalize it, using our official trademarked logo. The motion was seconded, voted on, and passed following discussion.
RUSA’s current communications channels and how to best use them to benefit the membership was discussed.
The meeting adjourned at 1905 PST.
