MINUTES OF A MEETING

OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF

RANDONNEURS USA, INC.

Held November 2, 2018

A special meeting of the RUSA Board of Directors was convened by telephone conference and called to order at 0500 PDT by the President for the purpose of discussing liability insurance. 

The following Directors were in attendance:

• Debra Banks

• John Lee Ellis

• John Capn Ende

• Jake Kassen (checked in briefly)

• Lois Springsteen

• Dave Thompson

Nigel Green was absent.

Susan Otcenas, Insurance and Liability Chair, was also in attendance and presented a proposal for liability insurance for 2019 that she acquired from Hanover to the Board for discussion.

This quote is $1,800 less than current policy and similar to a policy that was used by DC Randonneurs. Susan is also working with another agent for another quote.

MOTION: Empower Susan Otcenas to bind coverage with Hanover as long as funds do not have to be committed until the date the policy begins. PASSED

The Insurance Chair will continue to research other insurance policy options.
